"Lightning" Tim Lutz has been a crowd favorite since his very first match. From his never say die attitude to his high flying finishing moves, the fans have plenty of reasons to cheer for LTL. The Lightning Strike, Shockwave, Blockbuster, and Thunderbolt DDT are among the many electrifying moves in "Lightning" Tim's arsenal. A Dropkick Academy graduate, Lutz is perhaps the most impressive to come out of the school. LTL has battled with some of the best past and present NEW stars, including "Crazy" Chris Simmons, "Sick" Nick LeBeau, and Dämeon Steal.
As impressive as those battles have been, his series of matches with former NEW Superstar "The Sweet Sexy Sensation" Andre Heart are already legendary. For over a year, LTL and Heart battled not only in NEW, but also various promotions in Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama. In February, it looked like Tim was going to win his first title in a 3 way matchup with "Crazy" Chris Simmons and Heart. Instead of capturing the gold, then referee Tim Tatum blasted LTL with a chain, thus giving the win to the "Sweet Sexy Sensation." In May, Lutz challenged Heart for the Midwest Independent title; the winner got the title, while the loser had to leave QCW for 30 days. With "Lightning" Tim's loss, he left for 30 days but came back with a burning desire to climb back to the top and earn another shot at the title. After going going undefeated since his return, LTL was granted a title rematch with Heart, who insisted the loser leaves NEW forever! On October 1, 2005 "Lighting" Tim Lutz fulfilled his destiny and became the NEW Midwest Independent Champion.
With the belt finally around his waist and his arch nemesis out of his way. The future looks bright for "Lightning" Tim Lutz in NEW; but it will be a bumpy road, as many of the top NEW stars are already lining up to take a chance at the title.
