When Ronnie Longworth first began his wrestling career the Ulimate Fighting Championship was an influential factor in his wrestling style. While he was being professionally trained, his trainers informed him that the hardcore UFC moves were not acceptable. He was not willing to give up his style, so he adapted some moves to fit into his wrestling career. Ronnie was doing the "ankle lock" before Kurt Angle even thought about wrestling... its true.
Several years into his wrestling career the UFC style would play a part, as promotors in a southern federation referred to him as the "police" At their request, Ronnie would stretch wrestlers that were no longer "desirable," so they would not return.
After moving to Cincinnati, Ronnie did not plan on continuing his wrestling career. That is... until he ran into an old friend, Ryan Stone. Ryan gave Ronnie his first wrestling break in Cincinnati. After quickly realizing that the matches in this other promotion were meaningless, he felt he had no choice but to leave the promotion.
Ronnie was ready to hang up his boots, however, his friendship with one of the wrestlers from this federation continued... Phoenix. Phoenix later became the father of a new federation which was called QCW. After several discussions with Phoenix, Ronnie agreed to become part of his vision. Once again he was wrestling! He orginally planned on wrestling until the federation got on its feet.
Now, 2 years later, QCW has changed hands and become New Era Wresting.
At "Notorious November Knockout, Ronnie Longworth became the NEW Heavyweight Champion and is ready to take on any opponent.
